If you’ve earned your sea-legs on board the good ship AfrikaBurn, if you know how to weather a storm and survive the doldrums, if you can juggle more balls than an octopus, and you know that time and tide waits for no (hu)man … then perhaps its time to chart your course for a seat on the AfrikaBurn board?
Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) help to steer the strategic ship of Afrika Burns Creative Projects (or “the organisation”) and play an important role in ensuring that the ethics and governance are maintained, actioned and implemented, to safeguard our community.
Candidates will be asked to commit to giving at least 20 hours per month of their time in service to the organisation that propels the movement we know as AfrikaBurn.
Afrika Burns Creative Projects is a registered non-profit company and public benefit organisation with section 18A status. With a commitment to our cultural context, AfrikaBurn is driven to ensure that our decision-making circles at all levels are inclusive and represent the diversity of South Africa.
