AfrikaBurn 2025: 28 April to 4 May

Knowing Your Neighbours = Living Your Best Burn!

Your camp at AfrikaBurn will be your home for a whole week. It needs to feel safe for you. So, agree on camp responsibilities ahead of time … Why not meet up in person or online to get to know each other ahead of the event? Recognising faces and smiles helps so much, just to talk kak together and get to know each other and your interpretation of principles around the burn.

Camps require huge amounts of cooperation and effort. Everyone in your group needs to be committed to your particular SPACE vibes. Nothing will tear you apart quicker than making assumptions on what others have committed to.

Make sure your campmates know what is expected of them (and you) AHEAD OF TIME! This helps to avoid getting upset when things don’t quite come together on the first day … We all need time to acclimatise, unwind and decompress when we arrive. The excitement combined with the R355 takes its toll and don’t forget to factor in the unpredictable weather.

Keep in mind that some people struggle with the burn – Sanctuary is here for them at OCC 🙂
