Frankie Smalls writes: “Dear Afrikaburn community, our beloved friend, father, son, husband, long time DPW member Sammy Minde has been tragically killed and his family needs our help. I have started this campaign to raise funds to cover the costs of his funeral and the costs for a brick wall to be built around his house … Sammy’s murderers have been set free back into his neighbourhood, and his wife and children are worried for their safety.

Sammy once told me how he felt safe for the first time in his life at Afrikaburn. His time spent in DPW meant the world to him. He was often seen operating Afrikaburn’s forklift, maybe he has helped you move something at Burn.”

Sammy touched everyone who’s ever spent time in Tankwa Town by being a part of the DPW Family. Frankie has created a Backabuddy page for a campaign to help. It’s off to a flying start, but we’d love to do more and help provide as much support as we can for his family. No contribution is too small.
