Do you have what it takes to be a board member and help steer our dusty ship into the future? Afrika Burns Creative Projects NPC (that’s our organisation’s official, legal, name) is seeking highly-dedicated individuals to join its Board of Directors in 2018.
Directors are the legal face of AfrikaBurn and are directly responsible for the long-term sustainability of our event and the organisation’s broader objectives. Suitable candidates are based in Cape Town, able to meet weekly, and have an estimated 6 days per month to attend to AfrikaBurn business.

Nominations / applications should include:
– the completed questionnaire
– the applicant’s CV
– a letter of motivation from the person being put forward
– a letter of endorsement from someone in our community (this can be from anyone, but it provides context if this is from a past (or present) Member or Director, or anyone who has been involved in AfrikaBurn in the past (or present), as part of the operations team, as a portfolio volunteer or as part of a Collective / creative crew.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview in the week of 09 January 2018 and will be informed of the outcome of the elections by end January. Directors are appointed for a two-year cycle – and this cycle, appointments start from 1 February.
