Last year, we hosted the first Streetopia, which saw the streets of Observatory in Cape Town filled with colour, performance and no small amount of participation and good vibrations. It was a great opportunity for our community to being our desert experiement alive in an urban setting – and we’re doing it again!
This year’s event happens between 10am and 7pm on November 26th, and will follow much the same format of an open-ended invitation to anyone who wants to contribute to the event’s content. If there’s something you love doing, the streets are open to you – all you need to do is step up, and rock up.
So, if you have a Mutant Vehicle, an artwork, a performance or another activity that you’d like to bring along, you’re welcome to get involved! There’s been a great showing thus far from the Observatory community and NGO’s and civil society organisations – and we’re looking forward to theme camps and our community inĀ general adding their skills and colour to the mix.
