The deadline for all ticket related activity is 17h00 on Friday 26th April.
After this deadline – you will no longer be able to do any ticket transfers or purchase kiddies tickets. The Ticket Box office will essentially be CLOSED and Quicket and the Gate Team will be on their way to the desert.
Every ticket holder will still be able to log into the Quicket website, and download/print off their tickets. This you can do up until you leave for the desert!
Things to remember:
Having your name on your ticket is not a prerequisite to getting into the event unless you:
- Applied and were awarded a Low Income ticket. (these tickets are not transferable)
- You bought your ticket from someone you don’t know, and had the ticket transferred into your name. ( we need to verify that you are indeed the rightful owner of the ticket)
There will be two check points which you will need to get through, before you can eventually let go of the default world and emerge yourself fully into AfrikaBurn and all that comes with it.
These two points are:
1) Check Point Charming where we will check that everyone in the car has a valid ticket.
2) The Gate – where we will scan your ticket in, issue you with a ticket stub which will allow you through the gate.
So…. to make things a lot easier on our side as well as yours, PLEASE ensure that you have a print out of a valid ticket with you BEFORE you get to the event. (we can also scan mobile phones and iPads/computers) but a paper tickets are the easiest.
PLEASE don’t plan to meet someone at the gate who has your ticket… because there’s no way of contacting them, once you get to the desert.. it’s a recipe for disaster.
Please bear in mind that there is only ONE entry road which takes you into the event. So expect delays, but enjoy the journey! Get out your car, meet people in the queue – exchange gifts, make friends and relax!
